Classroom AIDS Produced by Keylight Productions
Classroom AIDS provides a behavioral model for parents, teachers, and administrators who are wrestling with the difficult issue of an HIV-infected child in school. When Craig's rural community learned that he was seropositive for HIV, most parents kept his kindergarten classmates home from school. But through a process of education, cooperation, and compassion, his school and his community worked through their fears and became a model for all schools. The video follows Craig through a normal school day and bridges scenes from his classroom with interviews. Teachers, classmates, parents, and administrators make clear that although the community still has concerns, the most difficult problems have been overcome. "A thought-provoking documentary...recommended." - Video Librarian "Using interviewing techniques, the producers have provided valuable information that should alleviate fears of teachers, administrators, and parents of other children placed in the same classroom with the child who has AIDS." - Choice Color, 27 minutes,
